The rest of the Tetrad IT dream team consists of scrum masters, projects managers, business analysts, sales and account managers, marketing guru’s, all who contribute to the success of Tetrad IT and our clients’ projects.
We are constantly on the hunt for additional talent and also have strategic partnerships with colleges, universities and talent alliances, for both onshore and offshore resourcing.
We are also part of Salesforce Talent Alliance.

We are incredibly proud to have won the Salesforce Community Impact Award for 2020 and 2021. The award is awarded to partners who have made a positive impact in the local community, measured through their enrollment in Salesforce Talent Alliance, Pledge 1% and sustainability programs.
Ram Ramakrishnan, Tetrad IT’s Head of Development, summarizes the award and its meaning as follows:
‘Within South Africa, we were the biggest partner to train, hire and place talent in projects. There are obviously many factors. The Tetrad IT Academy and our different internship programs do not just hire people, train them and then let them go. We won this award because of how we do it. We hire people and get them certified in the first three months, then put them in projects for the next three months and then close the projects within a year. This means we produce market ready people as our training plan includes hands-on training, not just theoretical training. So our people go through certifications and are project ready at the end of it.’
Maintaining project quality.
We do not just nurture and continually upskill our current Tetrad IT team with additional Salesforce certifications and Salesforce project experience. Our strategy is also to plan, acquire, align and develop Salesforce talent.
Every quarter we tend to hire several good graduates and train them by putting them through the cycle mentioned above. Our graduates also go through a skills audit in the process and then finally gets assigned to a team, whilst still being shadowed by a senior Tetrad IT team member, with a Salesforce Architect leading the design and front of the project.
Our Tetrad IT Salesforce talent get vetted with quarterly certification and KPI’s. We do this with a scorecard that we manage internally. The scorecards are not only used internally but also for quality control as well. This drives proper project delivery.
Vusi Mthethwa, Tetrad IT founder and CEO, summarized the success of our Tetrad IT Academy as follows:
‘It goes beyond Salesforce certification and certification for us is really the cherry on top. I believe you have to get the base right and then work towards Salesforce certification. These days you can get online courses and assistance from friends to help you pass your Salesforce certifications and that’s not the point of training people. Once you figure that out, you get quality people. We filter from the very beginning by making sure the right people are going to get trained.’
B-BBEE
Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) is an integration program launched by the South African government to reconcile South Africans and address inequalities.
We are proudly a level one contributor.
What is next for Tetrad IT?
At Tetrad IT we do multiple recruiting drives with colleges, universities and talent alliances. Our recruiting approach is much more personalized, which is for the right reasons so that the Tetrad IT team connects and our culture is supported. We want our recruits to feel excited about the way we work, therefore it is much more than a technical fit or a cultural fit that we look for. It is super tailor-made for individuals and that is why our people stick with Tetrad IT for years.
